In-Clinic Diagnostics

Some health conditions may not be obvious during an external examination. For this reason, we conduct in-house diagnostic tests to get an accurate picture of your pet’s overall health. At Kirk Veterinary Clinic, we recommend regular diagnostic testing so that our veterinarians will have baseline information about your pet. Having a history of test results lets us know if there is a significant change that indicates an underlying condition or disease.

Our in-house diagnostic capabilities enable us to conduct complete blood count (CBCs) and full chemistry panels. We test for heartworms, parasites, tick-borne diseases, and more. Results from diagnostic testing can detect infection and anemia, determine electrolyte status and hydration levels, evaluate kidney, liver, and pancreas function, screen for thyroid disease, and check blood sugar levels. When necessary, any diagnostic testing that we do not process directly in-house will be sent to an outside laboratory for results.

Kirk Veterinary Clinic is easily accessible to pet owners in Kimball, Jasper, Whitwell, South Pittsburg, Dunlap, Tracy City, and beyond.
